Only the Educated are Free (via Steve McCurry’s Blog)

wow

Only the Educated are Free I've been working in Afghanistan for thirty years.  I covered the Russian invasion and withdrawal, the civil wars, the rise and fall of the Taliban.   Mujahadeen Fighters, Nuristan, 1979     It seems that each time I return, control of a province or a city  has changed hands.  It was working in Afghanistan which taught me a lot about being a photographer. Afghanistan, 1979        War and turmoil are a way of life in Afghanistan.   One thing that … Read More

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Win Charles

I’m writing on behalf of Amanda boxtal and Berkeley Bionics in helping with a plan to hope to be bringing Elegs into The Aspen Club and to the aspen community

The disability I have is cerebral palsy cerebral meaning the brain palsy meaning the body

Back in 2006 my life got out of control do to me having to have a six hour back operation that almost killed me, up in till 2006 I walking under my own power for 18 years, summer 06 was hardest recovery of my life, and my “06 back operation” is still very emotionally painful for me to speak on because it changed my life forever, Now with the aid of a walker I can walk by myself.

How I fell that Elegs could help the disabled or the injured in Aspen is that the Elegs would give all of us are muscle memory back, and give the disabled the hope and freedom of walking and living a non disabled lifestyle again.

Let’s bring hope back in to the Vocabulary of the disabled of Aspen CO, through the power of the Elegs

Let’s let Aspen CO Power UP

Thanks so much for taking the time and interest in reading this letter and helping make dreams come alive through the power of Elegs

Sincerely,

Win K. Charles
